3-22-25 – 2025 Race 1, Track 1, all time track 298. Opened the Penn Ohio season outside of the Penn Ohio area, and for good reason. The first countable race in over a decade was held in the state of Rhode Island, and attendance was mandatory. It was almost like a convention of sorts, as a large contingent of Track Chasers attended. It wasn’t a dirt race, nor a pavement race, it was my first ice race. It was held in a hockey arena, champ karts were the countable class, as motorcycles, quads, and three wheelers also competed. The races were short, competitive, and it was nice to add my 27th state of seeing a race.
5-14-24 – I watched the High Limit race from Kokomo last night, and am watching STSS from Accord right now. It was cool last night to see Johnny Rutherford, still looking good at age 86. Basso488 on X (Twitter) has a picture of Rutherford flipping out of Eldora from 1966 that is just terrifying, see if the link below works. Any day that he got after April 3, 1966 is a blessing, and God bless him he looks great for 86. https://x.com/Basso488/status/1002606955880255489
