How our rankings work, they are based on point totals. Teams earn points on Level 1 and Level 2. For Level 1 points, you receive your opponent’s starting point value for a win, half of their points for a loss, and three-quarters of their points for an overtime loss. All NFL teams are 100, in college, P5 teams are 100, G5 teams are 80, and FCS 60. You earn bonus points for margin of victory of 10, 20, or 30 points, and bonus points for a close loss. You also earn Level 2 points, based on a percentage of the Level 1 points of your opponents. The result is that you earn more points based on the quality of your opponents. Our rankings are not based solely on wins and losses, any idiot can do that. Additionally, rankings depend on teams around you, so it’s possible to go up with a loss or down with a win. It’s a different way to do it, and I hope you enjoy it.
